The team

Robert joins Outset Global (HK) with over 25 years of financial markets experience across London, New York and Hong Kong.

Beginning his career at ICAP in London as a graduate trainee money broker, Robert moved to the buy side with GLG Partners, where he developed into a sector specialist trader executing equity and derivatives across US, European and global macro portfolios. Relocating to New York in 2006, he executed across all sectors for twelve portfolio managers running $2 billion in long/short and long only funds before moving to Hong Kong in 2010.

In Asia, Robert served as sole trader at Harbour Capital for nine years, managing equity, derivatives and FX execution across Asia ex-Japan and the US, before senior trading roles at Haku Capital and Seiga Asset Management, where he focused on Japan and broader Asian markets.

Outside of markets, Robert is an avid endurance athlete who has raised over $200,000 for charity competing in events including the Marathon des Sables and the Vermont Winter Death Race.
